Hey there. I'm Ace and I play as Lyris and Ithaca Columbine, two relatively underpowered Sirenians; Lyris is female and Ithaca is male (and yes I know the sirens were all female in Greek mythology but I have an absurdly long history for the Sirenian race and gahhh this is off-topic!). I've noticed that the format of roleplay is generally a script-type, with asterisks denoting action. However, I haven't played in that sort in many many many years and I'm pretty much programmed to write in prose now. Is writing in prose awkward or unacceptable? If it is, that's okay, though I might slip up a few times. Also, can we begin our own roleplay in the "testing" board? I ask because one of them is already many, many pages in progress with no easily accessible backstory, and the other is... nonsensical, lol. Thanks! I can't quite promise I'll be active, I have a lot of real-life commitments (namely graduating high school in two months), but I'll try my best if you all want me.

Oh course you may start your own in that thread, and it's not a problem if you slip up with denoting the actions, one of the staff members will fix it if there is a problem.
Have fun and welcome aboard
E.J.~

I'm Jemini, site founder. Welcome aboard! It's always nice to see new people.
It's true; our main roleplay actually spans several threads and the total of it is probably well over 300 pages. Of course, you can always start a new one in the test board.

Good to meet you, Jemini (and every time I see that name I get Gemini, the vocaloid song, stuck in my head) and Chell (I loved that game... can't wait for Portal 2!).

If you're ever bored, look no further than the roleplay board. Even if you don't want to join in, there's hours of entertainment from the pages upon pages of roleplay that we've amassed.

I'd feel awkward joining in on an already-ongoing roleplay, so I'm going to wait until a new thread starts, but past threads are usually good reading material. Better than sleeping all day, anyway, rofl.

We could do sort of an AU roleplay, like what would happen if our characters weren't where they are in canon. Silliness and oocness depends on the situation.
((Also, I lied before. Now I win.))

Yeah, that's true. Or start a new side thread to get Lyris into the roleplay.
