Logic is the only logical response, I believe. But not always the best. For example, my logic was that I should let the Test Subject live until the end of Test Chamber 19. Logically, I should have finished the experiment. However, in the end my subconscious, if you can call it that, was right- I should have killed her long before and awoken the next subject.
