I'm going to put my money on that they were taken, for what reason though.....

Perhaps, but who would they ransom them to, all their parents are dead.

Recruits? But they could be ransomed to anyone with a heart.

Either way we have to find them.

*searches for signs of a trail*

*You find what looks like a scrap of cloth caught on a dead bush nearby*

Over here guys!*she wanders a bit farther, looking for more clues*

What is it!?*You come to the edge of a forest, the tops of the trees are laden with snow and an ominous creaking sound comes from them*

I think they went through there...*she follows the creaking sound*

((The creaking sound is the branches being strained from the weight of the snow))
*You see what looks like it could be a lightly packed trail of snow leading deeper in the forest*
Well that's better then wandering around aimlessly, lets go.

*Up ahead you see what looks like a clearing, an indiscernible shape is off to one side of the clearing*
