Yes indeed, if you look up the definition of marriage it is not specified anywhere that it is for same sex couples. Instead of them calling it that they should call it something else like a union or something along those lines.

I support gays, trans, and anything in between except pedos.
So long as both parties are happy, no one gets hurt, and they are proper ages, its none of my business.
I think gay marriage should happen. I mean, why SHOULDN'T it? I can think of many more reasons it should than shouldn't.

Just saying... interracial marriage used to be illegal, but now it is called marriage too. I mean you could argue the semantics but yeah, this is just a nit-picky thing for me to do. The point is we all agree and I was focusing on an unimportant point. Seriously, we all agree.

Yeah, but marriage used to not be defined as between any one man and any one woman. Marriage isn't a constant, eternal term. It changes some. Maybe some religions won't change their practices (and I'm not saying they have to), but the official legal term should change. In my opinion.

Oh yeah, from the beginning of the page- Yes, the bible may say this, but I'd bet MONEY that it was anti-gay people who put that in there. I reckon God probably doesn't care. Or it may be a mistranslation. Or something. Unfortunately, the bible has been added too and edited by humans, and who trusts humans really? I think that the core ideas are true(be kind to others and treat them the way you'd like to be treated) but humans are willing to stoop pretty low to discriminate against other people, and at the time the bible was written, I'm pretty sure homosexuals were not tolerated very well. I would think it was added to give a reason to discriminate, and yes I believe that it was man who said this and not God 1000%.
Also, I think God has more important things to worry about, really...

What I heard was that it was more about temple prostitutes. That and the word "abomination" didn't mean "OMG KILL IT W/ FIRE" back then, but instead "not traditional."

Yeah. I think people make too big of a honking deal out of something as tiny and really not worth your time as who other people want to marry. So long as both parties are of proper age and are happy and neither gets hurt- WHO CARES

I know nobody is really still arguing but hey, food for thought.
"Lev 18:22-23 "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination."
The word "abomination" literally means defying tradition. The bible does not call homosexuality a sin, I believe.
Also, most Christians don't really believe the Bible word for word. After all...
1 Corinthians 14:34 "Women should be silent during the church meetings. It is not proper for them to speak. They should be submissive, just as the law says."
1 Timothy 2:12 "I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent."
Exodus 21:20-21 NIV “If a man beats his male or female slave with a rod and the slave dies as a direct result, he must be punished but he is not to be punished if the slave gets up after a day or two, since the slave is his property."
So basically, the Bible says stuff we don't like and we ignore it. We pick and choose, so I'd say that choosing to be intolerant of homosexuality rather than tolerant is goofy!
I think NPH and Jack Black can add to my point (Slightly NSFW, but hilarious)-
